Alan Shearer has named a top-heavy Premier League team of the season, playing an attacking 4-2-4 formation.

Five Liverpool players made the cut, with representatives from Leicester, Manchester City, Arsenal and Sheffield United also being selected.

In goal, Shearer opted for Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson.

‘It was tough to leave out Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, but Sheffield United’s season has been one of the best stories of the campaign and Henderson has been key to their success.
