SAS: Who Dares Wins star John Fashanu was branded a ’t**t’ by recruit Jack Maynard tonight after he stepped over the line during a brawl with Rudimental DJ, Locksmith.
The former Wimbledon footballer lost control as the SAS: Who Dares Wins line-up were split into two rival teams for a game of ‘Murderball’ which is just as gruesome as it sounds: recruits have to push a tyre to the rival team’s goal line or use brutal force to make sure they don’t.
John, however, went too far as Locksmith came charging, dragging the musician into a headlock and strangling him on the ground.
As Locksmith cried out in pain, chief instructor and former soldier Ant Middleton was forced to intervene as tensions got out of hand.
YouTuber Jack watched on in horror, shouting: ‘Number four is a t**t,’ referring to John, who wore a number four badge as recruits’ names were replaced with numbers.
Since filming ended, John admitted to strangling Locksmith.
‘I strangled him – that’s showbiz,’ he told The Sun. ‘If you put two known winners together at that level, you’re going to have an explosion.
‘I knew what I was doing! I attempted to strike him three or four times.’
Locksmith added: ‘He wasn’t able to control himself. I could see the red in his eyes. I could see his blood boiling.
‘So as I was going for the tyre, he threw me to the ground and got me in a headlock and wouldn’t let go, he starts strangling me. It was a bit uncalled for.’
SAS: Who Dares Wins continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
