Everyone that’s tuned in to Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga can agree the Netflix film is full of catchy tunes.

The film tells the story of an Icelandic duo who against all the odds end up representing their country at the contest.

And some viewers have been left wondering if the films stars -including Rachel McAdams and Will Ferrell – are actually the ones singing along to the pop-tastic tracks.

Rachel is certainly a woman of many talents but, sadly, singing like Eurovision contestant isn’t one of them.

Kinda – the vocals we can hear on bops such as Double Trouble and Ja Ja Ding Dong do not solely belong to Rachel McAdams.

The singing voice of Sigrit Ericksdottir was a mix of Rachel and Swedish singer Molly Sandén.

The European performer was a perfect pick seeing as she has appeared on the junior version of Eurovision in the past.

Speaking to Variety, she admitted: ‘It felt like a rematch for 14-year-old Molly, to finally get somewhere in the Eurovision and it’s ironic because I lived in L.A. for almost two years, and my big dream was to be successful in the States… to have an opportunity like this.

‘But when I gave up my dream and moved back to Sweden, that’s when I got this call and this opportunity.’

While Will Ferrell – who played Lars Erickssong – does his own singing in the film, Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens wasn’t able to do the same.

The actor – who played Alexander Lemtov – was ultimately unable to due to the lockdown.

He told Attitude: ‘They stuck with a very talented Swedish baritone.’

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is out now on Netflix.
