Bryshere Gray has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife! The Empire actor was apparently strangling her and the police intervened!
In fact, the authorities even reported that a SWAT team was needed to the scene.
The 26 year old who portrayed the character of Hakeem Lyon on the popular TV show was taken into custody by police on domestic violence charges and you can check out his mugshot here!

He was accused of physically attacking his wife.
Arizona’s Goodyear Police Department announced via Facebook that ‘On Sunday night, July 12, at approximately 10:15 pm, Goodyear Police responded to an emergency call that an adult female victim had been assaulted at her Goodyear home by her husband, who she identified as being Bryshere Gray, an actor on the TV series ‘Empire.’’
They went on to state in the same post that the woman was ‘treated and released for her non life-threatening injuries.’
Another tweet by ABC15 reporter Zach Crenshaw shared the press release of the police also claiming that ‘She was strangled at one point by Gray and lost consciousness. She had been assaulted at her home for the last several hours by her husband before flagging down a citizen for help’ at a gas station around that area.
This came as a shock to the public for multiple reasons, one of them being that he has a wife in the first place!
Until this scary incident, people were apparently not aware at all that Bryshere was married!
Furthermore, the police has not disclosed the victim’s name.
The last time the young actor posted something on his platform was back in November of last year when he celebrated his birthday.
At the time, he shared a pic featuring him and his on-screen mom Taraji P. Henson, who portrays the character of Loretha “Cookie” Lyon on Empire.
