Footballing legend Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock had to turn down a spot on Strictly Come Dancing due to health issues.
Razor, who played as a central defender for England, has struggled with his health for the past few years.
It was when he was taking part in Harry’s Heroes in 2019 with Harry Redknapp, when Razor was told in a health check that he was so un-healthy, he could have dropped dead on the spot.
And apparently, his ill-health meant that he had to turn out a place on Strictly.
Razor told The Sun: ‘I was asked to do Strictly but with my knees and arthritis, I wouldn’t last two minutes.’
He told the publication that he also had to turn down starring in other reality TV shows, such as Dancing on Ice and Channel 4’s The Jump.
Meanwhile, it’s all steam ahead for this year’s series of Strictly – which may look slightly different due to conditions imposed by coronavirus.
Namely, the series could be starting later in the year and cut its number of episodes down.
Oh, and there may be a spot spare on the judging panel too as Bruno Tonioli has apparently decided to remain in Los Angeles to instead take part in Dancing With The Stars.
Pop star Cheryl Cole has denied that she will be replacing Bruno when the series airs later this year.
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Strictly Come Dancing for comment.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
