A homeowner opened fire on three intruders, killing two and injuring one, after they broke into his house, police said.

The homeowner, who has not been identified, said he was playing video games in his Wesley Chapel, Florida house when when he heard the glass in his laundry room shatter, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. He then saw an arm reach inside the broken window and unlock the door before a masked man walked in and aimed a gun at him.

Acting quickly, the homeowner grabbed his Glock handgun, which was just feet away, and shot the masked gunman several times. A second masked man then walked into the house and was shot as well. Police said both men were aiming guns at the homeowner when he shot them.

A third intruder then entered the house and the homeowner began shooting again, but his handgun jammed, so he grabbed a Kriss Vector 10mm semi-automatic rifle as the intruder ran away.

The homeowner called his neighbor he called his neighbor and said he shot two intruders. While he was on the phone with authorities, he heard his neighbor yelling that he had detained the third intruder, who was injured, by gunpoint.

‘The victim advised he shot all three intruders because they were armed and forced entry into his home and he believed they were going to kill him,’ the arrest report stated.

Police arrived and pronounced two of the intruders dead at the scene and were identified as Luis Casado and Khyle Durham, both 21. The surviving intruder was identified as 19-year-old Jeremiah Tramel.

Tramel was later identified by police and said Casado wanted to rob the home, so he tagged along with the two men. He said when he heard gunfire, he went into the home and ended up getting shot, according to the arrest report.

The homeowner was also interviewed and told police he believed he was targeted because he posted many photos of his guns on social media. Authorities said the homeowner appeared to know the men, but did not elaborate.
