Kourtney Kardashian has opened up about her decision to stop filming for Keeping Up With The Kardashians in her cover shoot for Vogue Arabia.
The mum-of-three looks sensational on the front cover, rocking a sleek bob cut and dramatic make up, and gets real honest, as she admits that filming for her famous family’s reality show left her feeling ‘unfulfilled’.
Kourtney chose to take a step back from the show to focus on her children late last year and her decision didn’t sit well with her sisters Khloe and Kim, who claimed they would have to pick up the slack because she refused to film.
Tensions boiled over so much so that Kourtney was seen having a savage cat fight with Kim on camera.
The fight left their mum Kris Jenner sobbing over the footage and even shut down production on the series.
Speaking about her decision to back away from the show in her recent interview, Kourtney claimed it had become a ‘toxic environment’ for her.
She said: ‘I have been filming the show non-stop for 13 years, 19 seasons and six spin-off seasons.
‘I was feeling unfulfilled and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was.’
Kourtney adds that she is grateful for the ‘incredible memories’ Keeping Up With The Kardashians has give n her, but she now wants to find a work/life balance that allows her to be more present at home.
In February, Kris confirmed that daughter Kourtney would be back on the show after taking some time away.
‘I think she just needed a little break,’ Kris said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
‘You know how we all hit a tipping point, and she hit a wall,’ she explained.
‘She was frustrated and she felt under-appreciated and her sisters didn’t appreciate her boundaries, so I think after taking a little bit of time off, she’s seen the light.’
