Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Reveal That They ‘Broke Up’ And She Started Dating August Alsina — Will Denies Granting Permission

After what seems to be the entire world has all eyes on the ultimate Hollywood couple, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett hosted a very special Red Table Talk with just the two of them. During the 13 minute conversation, the couple revealed exactly what happened.

It turns out that Jada did, in fact, have a relationship with August Alsina. However, they weren’t together at the time.

In a shocking revelation, the two revealed that they broke up over four years ago. They walked it back to the beginning of their suspicious relationship with August Alsina.

They explained that they took him under their wing because of his declining health at the time.

However, as time went on and Will and Jada grew apart, Jada and August got into a relationship.

This is where Pinkett says she understands how the musician saw it as Will ‘granting permission.’

‘What August was trying to communicate … I think he wanted to make it clear he’s not a home wrecker. I got into an entanglement with August. A relationship, it was a relationship, absolutely. I was in a lot of pain, I was broken and in the process of that relationship I definitely realized that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself. And luckily enough, you and I were also going through a process of healing in a much different manner.’

What took them off guard was the fact that it had been so long since everything had happened and there was never a ‘healing’ so she didn’t feel the need to discuss it.

‘I let that be and hadn’t talked to him since. So it is a little weird all this stuff is coming out now since this was several [years ago].’

Will agreed and joked that his focus was ‘getting her back’ something she says that he has already done.

The two are going 25 years strong and plan to spend the next 25 years together.
