The woman stabbed to death at a Holiday Inn hotel in Greenwich yesterday has been named as Khloemae Loy.
Detectives investigating the death released a photograph of Ms Loy, who was 23.
It follows police being called to the Holiday Inn on Bugsby’s Way, in south-east London, shortly after 10am on Sunday.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found Ms Loy suffering from serious injuries.
She was declared dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination held at Greenwich Mortuary on Monday gave her cause of death as a single stab wound to the neck, police said.
A man in his thirties – who officers believe to have been known to Ms Loy – fell from a height at the scene.
He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition, and has been arrested in connection with the incident, police said.
Homicide detectives have launched an investigation, with inquiries ongoing, but officers believe there was no one else involved at this stage.
Photographs previously shared on social media showed a broken window five storeys up on the hotel.
A local, who did not want to be named, passed the scene while jogging and said emergency services gathered on a ledge on the second floor.
The hotel’s general manager Umar Khattak, 38, previously said the man and woman involved in the incident checked in on Saturday.
While the hotel has been open during the pandemic to NHS staff at the nearby Nightingale hospital, Saturday was the first day it was open to non-key workers, Mr Khattak said.
He said the hotel had received calls from different guests about noise coming from a room.
Mr Khattak said police were called and officers moved all guests out of the fifth floor.
The second floor looks out on to the ledge where the man is believed to have fallen, Mr Khattak said.
