The Bachelorette 2020 has already had several twist and turns in the past four months and now it looks like Tayshia Adams has come along for the ride.
The Bachelor Nation alum is heavily rumoured to have stepped in to replace Clare Crawley on the show as filming hit a little snag – Clare’s reportedly quit for love!
Yep, Clare has allegedly found the one after 12 days of filming and now Deadline claims that Tayshia has been chosen to help finish the season.
But who is the reality star and what is her history with The Bachelor?
Who is Tayshia Adams?
Tayshia is no stranger to The Bachelor franchise after she was a finalist on Colton Underwood’s season in 2019.
That same summer she went on to appear on season six of Bachelor in Paradise.
The mixed-race 29-year-old is a phlebotomist (she draws and prepares blood for testing) and her chill but feisty personality has made her a fan favorite as soon as she joined the Bachelor Nations last year.
She handled getting dumped by Colton like a pro before going on to enjoy a short-lived romance with John Paul Jones on Bachelor in Paradise.
The fact she is well liked by fans means she has over 790, 000 Instagram followers and has been living her best social media influencer life in recent months.
Is Tayshia Adams the new 2020 Bachelorette?
If reports are too be believed, all signs are pointing to Tayshia Adams being announced as the new Bachelorette, replacing Clare Crawley.
Nothig is official yet but the rumour mill began after Life & Style magazine reported that Tayshia, 29, was at La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs, California to take over filming duties from Clare.
Even Bachelor superfan Reality Steve appeared to agree with the rumours as he told Cheatsheet: ‘I’m really certain Tayshia is out in La Quinta right now [where The Bachelorette is filming]. There’s no reason for Tayshia to be in La Quinta unless she’s being asked to film something.
‘Which means that she would be the Bachelorette. So if you ask me if Tayshia is going to be the Bachelorette from this point forward, my answer would be yes.’
Adding more fuel to the fire, over the weekend Clare briefly liked a tweet about Tayshia becoming The Bachelorette, before un-liking the post on Twitter.
Considering Bachelor stars aren’t allowed to have their phones during filming, the move raised quite a few eyebrows.
And Variety reports that texts weren’t going through to Tayshia’s phone in recent days which could hint she is on-set.
ABC named Clare the season 16 Bachelorette in March but was forced to postpone the filming due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The network then recast several suitors before 40 men were taken to the Palm Springs resort to start competing for the hairdresser’s heart.
