6ix9ine’s Kidnapper Could Serve 30 Years To Life In Prison

Anthony “Harv” Ellison kidnapped rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine in July 2018 still has to get a sentence after being found guilty in a trial in 2019. On Wednesday, the federal government filed a 9-page letter in which it recommended that the kidnapper will serve 360 months (30 years) to life in prison.

The letter said Ellison was “the most culpable defendant convicted in this case,” that he was a “high-ranking member” of a “violent gang,” who “was committed to the gang life, proud to be a member of Nine Trey, and willing to do whatever was necessary to protect the reputation of the gang.”

Prosecutors also detailed some incidents involving Ellison and 6ix9ine’s rap career, such as the assault on Trippie Redd in November 2017, which was done on 6ix9ine’s instruction. Ellison participated in the brawl at the 2018 Yams Day concert and he was involved in a fight in February 2018 at an LA airport, in which 6ix9ine was also involved.

In their filing prosecutors also wrote about the October 2018 slashing in which Ellison took part after Nine Trey split. Ellison learned that a friend of his got shot and paralyzed by Nine Trey members.

Back then, 6ix9ine’s ex-manager was aligned with the gang. Therefore, Ellison slashed the face of an associate of the shooter. The prosecutors concluded that:

“Ellison’s willingness to permanently alter the visage of another, not because the victim was Ellison’s rival, but simply because the victim affiliated with Ellison’s rivals, evinces a callousness and depravity that goes beyond the pale, even in the context of gang violence.”

The recommendation from the prosecutors follows a recommendation that Ellison’s lawyers had sent a month ago. The sentencing will take place on September 24.

Recently, rapper Tekashi 69 (Daniel Hernandez) agreed to an interview, in which he talked about his decision to ‘snitch’ on his former gang. Talking to the New York Times, 6ix9ine agreed that without security, he worries about his safety. He does have a security team, which can vary between eight people and twenty-two.
