Britain’s Got Talent singer Imen Siar has wowed viewers tonight, taking on a big, emotional ballad.

The 21-year-old star took to the stage tonight in the first of the semi-finals, where she is competing for a place in the Grand Final and a performance at the Royal Variety Show.

Expectations were high since in her first audition, Imeni had wowed judges David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell with her strong vocals.

Now, she had one more person to impress as Diversity star Ashley Banjo joined the panel to fill in for Simon as he recovers from back surgery.

And it’s certainly fair to say that Imeni brought her all tonight, as she took on You Say by Lauren Daigle.

Viewers at home were certainly blown away by her skill, especially since she sang one verse of the song entirely in Arabic.

‘Imen singing in Arabic and English,’ one viewer wrote. ‘Boss lady!’

Another added: ‘Wow, I just got goosebumps whilst watching Imen’s performance.’

‘Beautiful Moroccan girl singing in Arabic on Britain’s Got Talent,’ another fan pointed out, ‘a real sign of the times.’

And Imen certainly seemed to leave her mark on the judges too, as David Walliams and Alesha Dixon in particular praised her.

‘This girl,’ Little Britain star David enthused, ‘is a star.’

Alesha added: ‘You made [the song] unique, you made it you.’

Also fighting for a place in the Grand Final tonight alongside Imen are comedian Steve Royle, dance troupe Urban Turtles, magician James Stott, father and son duo James and Dylan Piper, dancer Yakub, choir SOS From The Kids and Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer act, Fayth Ifil.

Time will only tell, though, if Imen has done enough to make it through to the Grand Final.

BGT is undergoing a bit of a format change this year to combat the times, as one act tonight will be sent through straight to the Final by the judges, where as the other seven performers will be at the mercy of a public vote.

Britain’s Got Talent airs tonight on ITV.
