Eva Longoria has called Victoria Beckham her best friend while detailing how ‘Wine O’Clock Zoom calls’ have helped her keep her balance over lockdown.

Speaking to the MailOnline, she called the fashion designer her ‘best friend’, while adding of her friendships generally: ‘We have a lot of Wine O’Clock Zooms, with a lot of wine and a lot of Zooms.

‘I almost feel like I’ve been staying in touch more because I’m not working…’

The Desperate Housewives star added: ‘I’ve been in touch more often and connecting more often and having a deeper relationship because the world paused.’

She added that meditation helps her manage her mental health, saying: ‘For me that involves my girlfriends, that means my sisters, more than ever, I need my friends.

‘Meditation, we need to take care of our mental and spiritual health at this time for sure.’

After chatting about her support for LaLiga football league, Eva added: ‘When David Beckham played for LA Galaxy we went to a lot of games because one of my best friends is Victoria so we went to many games at the stadium all the time and that was a lot of fun…’

Eva is not the only friend VB has been reconnecting with during lockdown: she met up with her Spice Girls band mates Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown for a socially-distanced walk in July.

Eva, along with husband Jose Baston, is a parent to two-year-old Santiago.

As well as Desperate Housewives, Eva’s screen credits include Dora and the Lost City of Gold plus The Young and the Restless.
