After the drama of the FA Cup in midweek it’s back to the Premier League on Saturday with the race for the top four hotting up.
After defeat last time out against Manchester City, Liverpool can pretty much kiss goodbye to retaining their crown and must now focus on Champions League qualification.
Leicester will be no pushovers, however, while there’s an intriguing match to look forward to in north London where rampant City face Jose Mourinho’s unpredictable Tottenham side.
As ever, Betfair’s Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk…
Leicester v Liverpool
What a great game to start the weekend. Liverpool are having a bit of a shaky time at the minute, they have had their ups and downs this season and I think they are there for the taking. I can see Leicester going out to shock them and I think they will get the win. Prediction: 3-1.
Betfair Exchance Odds: Leicester 13/5, Draw 11/4, Liverpool 6/5
Crystal Palace v Burnley
Burnley will be looking at the table and starting to worry, they are still a few points off the relegation zone, but things can quickly change in this league. I like Sean Dyche, his sense of humour is unbelievable, he was absolutely right what he said in his press conference the other day, I have played that lookalike game on holiday too. It’s important to have a smile when things are a little tough, we’re all human after all. Prediction: 1-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Crystal Palace 6/4, Draw 9/4, Burnley 9/4
Man City v Tottenham
Unfortunately, Spurs are playing City at the worst time, the way Guardiola’s team are playing at the moment is unbelievable. 15 straight wins is incredible. Spurs have a few issues at the back, and I hate to say it but I think it’s going to be very difficult. Prediction 2-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Man City 1/3, Draw 5/1, Spurs 9/1
Brighton v Aston Villa
Both teams are playing some good football and I like watching the two of them. Brighton have been impressive and haven’t always got the results to warrant their performances, but I think they will get the win in this one. Prediction: 3-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Brighton 15/8, Draw 13/5, Aston Villa 13/8
Southampton v Wolves
Both team have under-performed and Southampton are on a really bad run of games, they need to get back on their feet and put a stop to this run before they totally lose it. I think they will get back to winning ways. Prediction: 1-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Southampton 6/4, Draw 9/4, Wolves 9/4
West Brom v Man United
I don’t think West Brom will manage to save themselves. Recently though, there was a big surprise and Sheffield United managed to beat Man United, and I hope Solskjaer’s side don’t make the same mistakes otherwise it’s going to be a disaster. They need to stay concentrated and just get the job done and move on to the next match. Prediction 0-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: West Brom 10/1, Draw 5/1, Man United 1/3
Arsenal v Leeds
I see goals in this one, Leeds play with no fear against everyone, even if they lose, it doesn’t matter they just play their own way. I think Arsenal will have just enough to beat them. Prediction 3-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Arsenal 20/21, Draw 3/1, Leeds 16/5
Everton v Fulham
My old team have a difficult task on their hands and they need wins to avoid relegation. Fulham have been playing good and they have had their moments but they need the points and it doesn’t matter how. Calvert-Lewin is a doubt and that could be a big advantage for Fulham. Prediction: 1-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Everton 20/21, Draw 11/4, Fulham 100/30
West Ham v Sheffield United
Although they lost in the cup, West Ham are doing great and this season it’s clear they want to do more than just survive, so I think they will want to put on a very strong performance against Sheffield United who have struggled this year. Prediction 3-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: West Ham 8/11, Draw 14/5, Sheffield United 9/2
Chelsea v Newcastle
The bad news for Newcastle is the injury to Callum WIlson, he has been excellent for them and it’s a big blow because he was scoring the goals. Chelsea will want to continue their positive form under Tuchel and I think they will do that with a win. Prediction: 2-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Chelsea 1/4, Draw 6/1, Newcastle 13/1
Dimitar Berbatov’s top picks of Leicester, Man United and Arsenal all to win is a combined odds of 7/1 on the Betfair Sportsbook here
