While our hearts were breaking over the death of Seb Franklin, we may have missed a little Coronation Street trick when Abi (Sally Carman) reached out and held Harry Visinoni’s hand – it wasn’t actually her.
Sally has revealed to Metro.co.uk that it was actually his girlfriend on set for the emotional scene to get around Covid restrictions.
Sally confirmed: ‘There was one scene where Seb had died and I had to say goodbye to him. I was stroking his face and we had to have Harry’s girlfriend as my hand double.
‘Weirdly, it worked. When you are in that zone, it works so it was fine.’
Harry recently celebrated his one-year anniversary with girlfriend Ellie Isaacs.
He posted a sweet snap of the coupling gazing into each other’s eyes – and another with the caption ‘Mia ragazza’ which means ‘my girlfriend’ in his father’s native Italian.
Harry spoke out about his exit, telling Metro.co.uk: ‘I was welling up which is a rare thing for me! I drew the short straw as we’re not allowed leaving drinks at the moment because of Covid – I wish I received that treatment!’
