Jake Paul was left with a black eye after brawling with Floyd Mayweather – claiming it was a member of the former world champion’s security staff who struck him.
Mayweather is scheduled to face Logan Paul in an exhibition bout in Miami on 6 June – with the two meeting for a press conference on Thursday.
The younger Paul brother would steal the show though, confronting Mayweather after the former five-weight world champion offered to fight both brothers on the same night.
After exchanging words face-to-face, Jake Paul swiped Mayweather’ hat, prompting a furious response from the 44-year-old who chased down the YouTuber shouting: ‘I’ll f** you up mother f***er, I’ll kill you.’
Paul revelled in the mayhem on social media after the dust had settled but his left eye was visibly marked up in videos he shared on his Instagram account.
In a series of tweets, Paul also suggested it wasn’t Mayweather who did the damage.
‘Honestly have had three easy fights as a pro so been itching for some real action,’ he wrote. ‘1 of Floyd’s 30 bodyguards got a clean shot on me in the eye.’
Jake Paul has boxed three times as a professional, recording three knockout wins – stopping former UFC contender Ben Askren in devastating fashion last month.
In addition to chasing the Mayweather fight, he has also been trying to tempt UFC star Conor McGregor into action, insisting a meeting with the Dubliner in 2022 is ‘very realistic’.
