The Chase has become a teatime favourite since it first took to the air in 2009 – making stars of the show’s infamous ‘Chasers’.
Their role on the show is crucial, with one of them – ranging from Anne Hegerty’s The Governess to Shaun Wallace’s The Dark Destroyer – taking on the contestants in each show in their bid to beat them at their quizzing game.
But just how many Chasers have their been since the show began – and who is the most recent addition to the line-up?
Here’s what you need to know…
How many Chasers have there ever been on The Chase?

2011 saw the arrival on the show of Paul Sinha, known as The Sinnerman, while Jenny Ryan – or The Vixen as she’s known on the series – joined in 2015.
The newest member of the Chasers is Darragh Ennis, who made his first appearance in 2020.
Darragh – or The Menace, as he is referred to on the show – is a neurobiologist and former contestant on The Chase, part of a team who appeared in 2017.
He said of his fellow Chasers: ‘They were all super encouraging afterwards when I spoke to them. They were really congratulatory. They said very well done.’
