Always wanted to live like your favourite superheroes and villains?

A DC Comics immersive multi-room experience, inspired by Gotham City, is coming to Soho this summer.

The 18,000 sq ft space will be made up of different restaurants and bars in one venue – each based around a different character – but with a key focus on Batman, in particular.

It’s set to open on Brewer Street on August 10, and will boast an 11-course tasting menu that pays tribute to the comic characters, for £195 per person.

Dishes include a ‘poisonous’ mushroom made from parfait (a nod to Poison Ivy), a scallop, oyster, caviar and white chocolate dish topped with gold leaf, a USDA Black Angus tenderloin with truffle and even edible jewellery.

The gastronomic experience in the main Monarch Theatre space promises to take guests on a ‘culinary and visual journey’ with the help of floor-to-ceiling screens and 360-degree projection mapping.

Whereas other rooms at the venue take their inspiration from superheroes and villains that feature in the comics.

There’s the Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge with a bar and live entertainment, alongside Catwoman’s Rogue’s Gallery where you can eat under reproductions of world-famous stolen art.

Elsewhere, there’s Harley Quinn’s Old Gotham City – a speakeasy style cocktail bar and a lounge bar named Pennyworth’s – after Batman’s butler, Alfred.

The Soho spot is named Park Row – also known as Crime Alley in the comics – which fans will know as the spot where Batman’s parents were shot.

Comic lovers should expect plenty more surprises, with staff also playing along.

The arrival of Park Row coincides with the release of the new Batman film – which is set to be released in 2021, with Robert Pattinson taking on the title role for the first time.

Also in London this summer, there’s a new food festival from the team at Street Feast to tuck into in early August.
